Students Hold Protest in Ghaziabad Alleging Denial of Scholarship Funds

GHAZIABAD: Scores of students of technical colleges today staged a protest at the collectorate here alleging that their institutions were not releasing scholarship funds meant for deserving students.

Led by the city unit general secretary of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Vikas Bhadoria, the protesters submitted a representation addressed to the district social welfare officer, Paritosh Kumar Srivastava.

Addressing the students, Bhadoria alleged that the managements of various technical colleges here were in the habit of "usurping" scholarship money. He demanded that an

inquiry be instituted into the "scholarship scam".
