A married couple from Haryana are fearing for their lives as a Khap Panchayat diktat annuls their marriage and declared them siblings. The reason cited behind the declaration is that the couple’s gotras are the same 'bhaichara' category.

The couple fearing for their lives filed a plea in Punjab and Haryana courts seeking protection. Their plea is expected to be heard today.
