NEW DELHI: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will meet the students of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) on Friday, in connection with their protest against the appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as its head.

According to reports, some students had approached Rahul Gandhi to intervene in the matter.

The students have been on strike for over 50 days over their demand for cancelling actor Gajendra Chauhan's appointment as FTII chairman.

Asked to react to the director's warning, a spokesman of the FTII Students' Association (FSA) said, "We are in the process of deliberations and decide future course of action".
