SALEM: A minor girl was allegedly gangraped by seven persons for five days at an abandoned house situate at a hilly area here, police said today.

Police said the 15-year-old girl was on her way home from school on May 31 evening when a tea shop employee accosted her and took her to the house in Vazhapady in the district.

He tied her up, locked her in a room and called up his friends and all of them raped her for the last five days, they said.

The girl managed to escape from there yesterday, walked 12 km back to her house and narrated the incident to her parents, who then filed a complaint with police last night.
