An Air India passenger who had ordered a special lunch in the flight was shocked to find a lizard in the meal served.
After the London-bound flight AI 111 took off from Delhi at 1 PM on Thursday, passengers were served lunch. According to reports, as soon as the meal tray was served, a passenger was heard screaming. Though a crew member replaced the meal, a number of other passengers refused to have their meals following the incident
The lizard was present under a burger, wrapped in a plastic film, which was served along with salad in the meal tray. The passenger has filed a complaint with the AI authorities and is awaiting a response.
According to reports, AI authorities have repeatedly got complaints, over months, from crew members about unclean galley carts and presence of cockroaches in them but no action has ever been taken.
This incident has created a flutter on Twitter too.
