
The molestation and brutal death of a teenage girl in Punjab created ruckus in both the houses of the Parliament with Opposition members raising slogans demanding a discussion over the issue.
In Lok Sabha, speaker Sumitra Mahajan rejected the Congress demand for an adjournment motion and said the issue could be raised in the zero hour. She also warned the opposition members against waving placards in the house.
As the ruckus continued Speaker adjourned the house for a while.
In Rajya Sabha also opposition members protested demanding a discussion over the issue leading to the adjournment of the house for 10 minutes.
A 13-year-old girl was molested and pushed out of a moving bus at Moga in Punjab on Wednesday sparking off a nation-wide outrage. The bus in which she was molested is reportedly owned by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
