JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir government is likely to implement the National Food Security Act (NFSA) very soon in the state.

"The Government is likely to implement the National Food Security Act (NFSA) very soon in the state, and preparation for it is going on in full swing", Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Choudhary Zulfkar said while chairing a meeting here today.

The Minister while reviewing the preparations for implementation of NFSA instructed the concerned officers to conduct a comprehensive workshop in this regard.

The Minister said that department has initially decided to implement the NFSA in Kathua, Udhampur and Samba districts of Jammu division and Shopian, Ganderbal and Pulwama districts of Kashmir division.
