NEW DELHI: A member of the Hindu Sena was detained for making a call to the Delhi Police control room claiming that beef was being served at Kerala House on Monday.

“We sent a team to Kerala House to ensure that no untoward incident happens there,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Jatin Narwal.

The officer also said that his team did not carry out any raid to recover beef.   Meanwhile, the Delhi police traced the caller and said he belongs to Hindu Sena and was earlier involved in various illegal activities.

After thorough investigation, the caller was let off.
