GURGAON:A 15-year-old national-level junior judo player was drugged, abducted and thereafter gang raped by three assailants in Haryana’s Millennium City, Gurgaon, police said on Tuesday.
According to police, the incident took place a month ago, however, the victim reported the matter to police only on Monday. “As soon as we got a complaint from the victim, we registered an FIR under sections 376-G (gang- rape), 120 (Concealing design to commit offence punishable with imprisonment) of the Indian Penal Code and under various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rajesh Kumar Chechi.
In her complaint, the victim, a student of Class XI, told police that she along with her a friend and coach was walking towards her home at Pokharpur village from her school, which is around 15-20 minutes away from her residence.
In the meantime, the three assailants who hails from a nearby village passed them in a car. Seeing two girls walking along with a man, they passed lewd comments, against which the coach protested. Furious over this, all three accused came out of the car, bashed up the coach, pinned him down and dragged both the girls inside the car.
After travelling for a few minutes, they threw the victim’s friend out of the car after threatening her with dire consequences.
Later, they took the victim to an isolated place, gave her sedatives and raped her. When she came to her senses, the accused threatened to kill her entire family.
The victim returned home but did not utter a word to her family members. When the accused started following the victim again, she told her relatives.
The relatives thereafter informed her parents, who are farmers, who in turn reported the matter to the Bilaspur Police Station in Gurgaon.
“We started investigation into the matter and arrested one of the accused who was identified as one Kartik,” said the officer adding that Kartik, 22, a business student, has confessed to the crime. “His two friends are still at large,” added the officer.
