Man Arrested With Two Pakistani SIM Cards in Poonch

JAMMU: A man along with two Pakistani mobile SIM cards was arrested in the frontier district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, police said here today.

The accused identified as Amir Hussain Shah was arrested last evening when police raided his house in Dharana village of the remote Mendhar area of the Poonch district. "On specific information, police team last evening conducted a raid in village Dharana of Mendhar and arrested Amir Hussain Shah along with two Pakistani mobile SIM cards," a police officer said.

He said that the SIM cards have been seized and Shah was arrested under various sections of Ranbir Penal Code and prevention of unlawful activities. "We are also investigating how Shah got the Pakistani SIM cards and whether he has links with any militant outfit and how he was using the Pakistani SIM cards", the officer added.
