Bihar Polls: BJP Core Committee to Meet Today

NEW DELHI: A meeting of the BJP Core Committee will be held at party chief Amit Shah’s residence here on Monday during which a decision is likely to be taken on the candidates for the first two phase of the Bihar Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, the BJP chief is holding parleys with Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) boss Jitan Ram Manjhi, who is said to be upset over the seat-sharing for the assembly polls.

Manjhi, who had initially agreed to go with the BJP president's efforts to settle the seat-sharing, is now reportedly looking for more than 15 seats.

Polls for the 243-member Bihar Assembly will be held in five phases starting on October 12 and ending on November 5. Counting of votes will take place on November 8.
