A Daughter Seeks Justice for Her Mother's Murder

Dr. Sunita Arora, a lady doctor from Haryana died on 18th September's night while a team of Health Department officials were conducting a raid at her clinic. It is reported that Dr. Arora collapsed while she was being questioned and later died.

The team included 5 official from the Health Department and a deputy civil surgeon Dr. Sudhir Batra.

According to a report that was published later, the raid began as the officials got information that an illegal abortion was being carried out in her clinic.

It goes on to state that the officials spoke to a woman present at the clinic after which they started questioning Dr. Arora. It was then, that she collapsed.

Later, Ved Prakash, her husband reached the scene only to find his wife lying dead on the ground.

The family members on the other hand allege that she was actually killed by the officials and hence registered a case against them under section 302 of the IPC.

The police said, 'the actual reason is yet to be found as the investigation is underway.'

Meanwhile, Ishita Arora, Dr. Arora's daughter asks for justice for her mother's alleged murder through a Facebook post.

She writes 'My mother was killed. Dr. Sunita Arora, my revered mother and a Doctor since last 30+ years in Samalkha (Panipat, Haryana) was killed yesterday night by 5 Government Officials and Doctors of Panipat. We have the evidences of physical torture, eye-witness and camera recording against the Murderers.

Yet No Goverment Official is arresting the killers. I would be highly greatful to each and every one who will help me reach this message to the highest officials of the GoI and help us arrest the killers. Please share this post on your wall and spread the message like fire. We deserve justice.'

Ishita even took to the roads, where she blocked the NH-1 on 19th September's evening for an hour protesting against Government to take action for her mother's murderers.

Considering the sensitivity of the situation, it is said that the police will be videographing the post-mortem at PGIMS, Rohtak. However, the team of officials are yet to be questioned.
