Two Killed, One Injured in Firing in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: Two persons were killed and one other injured when unknown miscreants opened fire on them at Mandawara village of Karauli district, police said today.

The deceased have been identified as Sumer Singh (40) and Naresh (32), Hindon Police Thana Incharge Kailash C Bohra told PTI on telephone. The injured person Nirdesh (28) was referred to Jaipur's SMS hospital in critical stage, he said. The incident occurred last night when three of them were on their bike going to home in Kataraji from Hindon, and assailants opened firing on them near Mandavara, he said.

The assailants fled from the spot, he said, adding all check-posts were alerted to nab the culprits and the reason of firing incident was yet to be ascertained. The deceased men belonged to Gurjar community, he added. Villagers of Kataraji and adjoining villagers held a protest demanding probe into the incident, he said.
