Woman Fired Upon by Suspected Militants in Pulwama District

SRINAGAR: A 42-year-old woman was fired upon by suspected militants today in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said.

Shakeela was injured when unidentified gunmen fired upon her near her residence at Mir Mohalla in village Gulshanpora area of Tral, the police said.

The woman was shifted to a hospital for treatment, they said, adding further details were awaited. The area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the assailants, the police said.
