NEW DELHI:The CBI has taken over the probe in the Sheena Bora murder case and registered a case here against Indrani Mukerjea and two others for allegedly hatching a conspiracy to kill the former’s daughter. After the Maharashtra government announced its decision to hand over the probe to the premier investigative agency 10 days ago, the CBI’s Special Crime Branch on Tuesday lodged a case here against Indrani, her former husband Sanjay Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Pinturam Rai. Sources said that the CBI would also probe the financial dealings that allegedly led to the murder. A Mumbai court had extended the judicial custody of the three accused till October 5.
