Pakistani Intruders Shot Dead in Punjab, Heroin Worth Rs 45 Crore Seized

Sources said both the alleged smugglers were shot dead and from them nine kilograms of heroin was recovered.

CHANDIGARH: The BSF has shot dead two unidentified Pakistani intruders who infiltrated into Indian territory with nine kilograms of heroin having an international value of Rs 45 crore.

Sources said both the alleged smugglers were shot dead and from them nine kilograms of heroin was recovered.

The incident took place  during the wee hours of the morning when a BSF patrolling party observed some suspicious moments along the Indo-Pak border beyond the barbed fencing at the BOP in Bherowal of Amritsar sector.

On reaching the suspected area, the BSF patrol party noticed some movement along the border and warned them to surrender, but intruders kept on marching inside the Indian territory while ignoring the warnings.

As a result BSF personnel opened fire.
