BJP to Focus on Value-addition by Modi Government on 2nd Anniversary

NEW DELHI: As the NDA government completes two years in office next month, BJP is planning a number of publications to highlight the "value-addition" in governance done by the Modi dispensation as compared to the UPA rule and will also rope in "domain experts" to write about it.

The government too has set up a Group of Ministers under M Venkaiah Naidu to chalk out plans for publicising its works and work in tandem with the party so there is an "integrated" approach towards creating awareness about the achievements.

"BJP's Good Governance Department is planning a series of publications titled 'The Difference that We Made' highlighting the value addition that BJP ministers under the leadership of the Prime Minister has made.

"We are requesting some domain experts to document achievements of the Modi government highlighting actual examples of changes occurred and benefits reached to marginal sections," Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, party's vice president and the Good Governance Department head told PTI.

A series of monographs will be brought out by the party and they will be written by "expert personalities and bodies".

"The idea is to reach out to the intelligentsia about the difference our government has made. We are underlining the value addition as people often have an indifferent approach bout claims of governments. They want to know the results," a party leader said.

The government will also be launching a website to publicise the good work done by the government during the last couple of years. The party's claims about the government's "successes", including the financial inclusion of the poor, India becoming the "fastest growing economy" and attracting maximum FDI will be there on the website.

It will also highlight the "successes" like highest ever production of urea, electrification of over 8500 villages, highest generation of electricity, besides record construction of highways in 2015.
