Curfew in Force in Imphal West District Violence-hit Areas

Eight persons were injured while nine houses were razed to the ground during the violence.

IMPHAL: The indefinite curfew, which was clamped in the Wangoi sub-division of Imphal West District in Manipur following a mob violence yesterday, continues to remain in force.

An official source today said the situation has improved,with large columns of police force patrolling Mayang Imphal Bengoon and the adjoining areas, where the confrontation took place.

Eight persons were injured while nine houses were razed to the ground during the violence.
