Akhilesh laid foundation stone of international perfume museum and park and launched developmental schemes.

KANNAUJ: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today laid foundation stone of international perfume museum and park and launched developmental schemes worth over Rs 1,165 crores in his wife Dimple Yadav's constituency here.

"Perfume industry of the district will get a new identity in the world after the start of the museum and park," he said while addressing the gathering on the occasion.

"The people of Kannauj were always with us. After Ram Manohar Lohiaji, Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), people of the district made me an MP and then my wife Dimple who was elected unopposed," Yadav said.

The Chief Minister also launched 150 schemes and laid the foundation stone for 106 others, including a dairy plant of one lakh litre capacity.

Cautioning people against "false promises" to be made by some political parties during the Assembly polls slated for next year, he said they should remain "alert" from such parties, which only "befool" them.

State minister Azam Khan accused BJP of "vitiating" the communal atmosphere of the country.

"There is a need to remain alert from such forces. Society will not benefit from riots and hatred between Hindus and Muslims," he said.
