4 officials among 17 cops injured in militant attack in Pulwama

Militants hurled a grenade, followed by firing, at security personnel who were on duty near the Degree College in Pulwama town, 32 kms from here, a police official said.

SRINAGAR: At least 17 police and paramilitary men including four officials were injured when militants attacked their deployment in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said during stone pelting near Degree College Pulwama in south Kashmir today, militants hiding in the mob fired and hurled two grenades on the deployment.

“In the militant attack, 17 police and CRPF personnel were injured. Some civilians were also injured in the attack,” he said.
