Drop in percentage of Juveniles involved in crimes

While crimes committed by Juveniles was 1.2 percent of total cases registered under IPC in 2014, last year it had a very marginal dip to 1.1 percent.

NEW DELHI:The year 2015 has seen a very slight dip in percentage of Juveniles involved in crimes out of the total cases registered under Indian Penal Code, according to fresh data released by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) on Tuesday.

While crimes committed by Juveniles was 1.2 percent of total cases registered under IPC in 2014, last year it had a very marginal dip to 1.1 percent.

A total of 31,396 crimes were committed by Juveniles in 2014 as compared to 33,256 in 2015.

The highest murder and attempt to murder cases were registered against Juveniles in Maharashtra at 128 and 188 respectively and the lowest zero in Nagaland.
