KOTA: A 16-year-old Dalit handball player was allegedly raped by her physical training teacher repeatedly over two years, police said today.

The girl yesterday lodged a complaint against Abdul Hanif (40) of Mangrol town, currently posted as Physical Training Instructor (PTI) at a government senior secondary school, Circle In-charge (CI) Ram Singh Meena, Mahila Police Station, said.

The victim has been playing for the school team for the last two years, he said.

"She alleged that Abdul would take her to different cities to participate in handball events and rape her in hotel rooms," he said, adding that he would provide fake ID for the girl to get hotel rooms.

The girl in her statement said the accused raped her 7-8 times in the last two years, adding, that he last raped her on December 17 in a hotel room in Baran.

The girl has been sent for medical examination and a statement before the magistrate would be recorded later today, Meena said.

Abdul has been booked under various sections of IPC, POCSO and SC/ST Act. He has not been arrested yet, he said.
