Inter-Ministerial Central team to visit Tamil Nadu next week

The team will be led by Joint Secretary of Union Home Ministry Praveen Vashista, the Government said in a statement.

NEW DELHI: An Inter-Ministerial Central team will visit Tamil Nadu next week to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the situation in the wake of cyclone storm ‘Vardah’ that hit the State earlier this month.
 
The team will be led by Joint Secretary of Union Home Ministry Praveen Vashista, the Government said in a statement.
 
The Inter-Ministerial team will include representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare and Department of Expenditure (Ministry of Finance), besides Drinking Water and Sanitation (Rural Development Ministry).
 
Representatives from ministries of Health and Family Welfare, Power, Road, Transport & Highways, Rural Development and Water Resources are also members of the Inter-Ministerial Team.
