Bank officer arrested for taking bribe
Hari Singh Rajput in a complaint to CBI said he had on Wednesday gone to withdraw Rs 24,000 from his account in SBBJ's Bagora branch.
Jodhpur, Dec 29 (PTI) A bank officer has been arrested by CBI for taking a bribe from a person wanting to withdraw Rs 24,000 from his account in Jalore district.
Hari Singh Rajput in a complaint to CBI said he had on Wednesday gone to withdraw Rs 24,000 from his account in SBBJ's Bagora branch.
He alleged that Assistant Bank Manager Dhannaram Choudhary said the money will be given only if he paid him Rs 500.
Upon the filing of the complaint, CBI laid a trap and caught the bank official while accepting a bribe of Rs 500. Also, a raid was conducted at his residence. Choudhary was produced in the special court today, which remanded him into one-day custody for interrogation.
