Vice President Meets Sultan of Brunei

Ansari left New Delhi on Monday on a five-day visit to Brunei and Thailand.

NEW DELHI: Vice President Hamid Ansari on Tuesday met Sultan of Brunei Hassanlal Bolkiah in the southeast Asian nation's capital Bandar Seri Begawan.

“A bond of friendship with Brunei. VP Ansari meets Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah and Crown Prince Al Muhtadee Billah,” external affairs ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup tweeted along with photographs.

Ansari left New Delhi on Monday on a five-day visit to Brunei and Thailand.

This is the first visit by an Indian vice president to Brunei and will be the first in 50 years to Thailand.
