Jet Airways Crew Member Detained in Alleged Fake Currency Smuggling

Mumbai police detained a Jet Airways crew staff with huge foreign currency approx Rs 2.5 crore at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.

MUMBAI: Mumbai police on Tuesday detained a Jet Airways crew staff with huge foreign currency approx $40,000 (Rs 2.5 cr) at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. Agar Rislie, who was preparing departing to Hong Kong, is suspected to be involved in fake currency smuggling. Investigation in this case is going on.

In a statement the airline stated: Jet Airways is cooperating with the relevant authorities in their investigation. Jet Airways has a zero tolerance policy towards actions of employees that contravene local or international laws. This is clearly stipulated in employee contracts and reinforced in training sessions. We take all necessary disciplinary action in accordance with company policy and procedures.”
