NEW DELHI: WHO to Share Zika Research Data Online     

Having declared Zika as an international health emergency, the WHO has decided to share data on the disease and formed an online platform for the purpose. The Bulletin of the World Health Organisation, a health journal published by the UN body, is implementing a new data-sharing protocol for data on Zika research. “Data is the basis for public health action, and rapid data-sharing is critical during an unfolding health emergency. Information disseminated through peer-reviewed journals and accompanying online data sets are vital for decision-makers,” a WHO official said.

Hindu Spiritual & Service Fair to be Held in Mumbai  

Eminent economist S Gurumurthy is all set to spread the wings of his brainchild exhibition Hindu Spiritual and Service Fair (HSSF), a popular event in Chennai, outside the boundaries of Tamil Nadu. The HSSF will host an exhibition at Goregaon in Mumbai from February 12 to 14.  “Around 125 organisations will participate in the exhibition which will showcase Indian tradition along with various service projects going on across the country,” Gurumurthy said. This will be the third HSSF exhibition outside Chennai after Jaipur and Bengalurue, said the organisers.
