GUWAHATI: Nagaland’s influential Naga Students Federation will impose an indefinite ban on the movement of vehicles, owned by Manipuris, in protest against alleged routine harassment of members of Naga organisations in Manipur. “We’ve unanimously resolved to indefinitely ban the movement of all Manipuri-owned vehicles in the entire Naga-inhabited areas with effect from 6am of February 27,” the NSF said. The NSF was enraged over a particular incident of alleged harassment of its officials by Manipur police commandos on February 14. What added to the anger was the turning down of its pleas for a meeting with Manipur CM, Deputy CM and other top officials by the authorities. Officials of the student body want to meet them to lodge plaints against the incident that occurred at Mantripukri in Manipur.
