Rajya Sabha Adjourned Following Uproar Over Rohith's Suicide

NEW DELHI: Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien on Wednesday adjourned the house for 10 minutes following an uproar over Dalit scholar Rohith Vemula's suicide issue.

Bahujan Samaj Party MP Mayawati raised the issue of Vemula's suicide in the house.

Other BSP MPs started sloganeering against the central government and demanded justice for Vemula's family.

The budget session of the Rajya Sabha began on Wednesday.
