NEW DELHI: Kanhaiya Kumar, the JNU Students’ Union President, who has been arrested under sedition charges, was on Thursday sent to one-day police custody by a trial court.
Kanhaiya will be in jail for five more days as the Delhi High Court decided yesterday to hear his bail plea on February 29.
Kanhaiya was arrested in a sedition case on February 12 after an event held at the JNU campus against the execution of 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
