GHAZIABAD (UP): In a fit of rage a man pronounced thrice ‘Talaq Talaq Talaq’ to his wife in Masuri area here and then allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his rented house, police said today.
SHO of Masuri police station, Haridayal Singh Yadav said Nazakat (28) came to his house late last night in an inebriated condition and had an heated argument with his wife Shanno (25) and then said talaq thrice.
While his wife, daughter and son slept in adjoining room Nazakat allegedly hanged himself from ceiling fan.
This morning seeing him hanging from the ceiling fan his wife informed the police.
The body has been sent for postmortem, the police said adding investigation is underway.
