Camaraderie in RS, it is Tarun Vijay''s Birthday

Amid slugfest between the ruling and opposition sides over various issues, RS saw a spirit of camaraderie, thanks to the birthday of Tarun Vijay.

NEW DELHI: Amid slugfest between the ruling and opposition sides over various issues, Rajya Sabha today saw a spirit of camaraderie, thanks to the birthday of BJP leader Tarun Vijay.

Vijay received greetings from members across party lines after a member from opposition Congress disclosed that it was his birthday today.

It was during the Question Hour when Vijay made a query to Home Minister Rajnath Singh.

As soon as the Home Minister rose to speak, Shantaram Naik of Congress informed the House it was Vijay's birthday.

At this Singh, Rajnath Singh wished his party colleague and said in a lighter vein that he was replying to the question since it his birthday.

Some other members also joined in greeting Vijay.

Some members then pointed out that it was the birthday of Congress member Bhalchandra Mungekar also. The Home Minister wished him too.

Chairman Hamid Ansari also wished both a "Happy Birthday".

The bonhomie came amid slugfest between the ruling and opposition sides over various issues, which has led to repeated disruptions.
