Alert Issued in Mumbai, Maharashtra

In the wake of intelligence inputs that terrorists may have sneaked into Gujarat, Maha Police issued an alert across the state including Mumbai.

MUMBAI: In the wake of intelligence inputs suggesting some terrorists may have sneaked into Gujarat via the sea route, the Maharashtra Police today issued an alert across the state including its capital Mumbai.

A top police official of the state police said all unit chiefs (of the state police) have been asked to ensure maximum protection of persons and offices.

Maharashtra's neighbouring state Gujarat was today on high alert following intelligence inputs that terrorists have sneaked into the state, with raids being conducted at Kutch and other places, security beefed up at vital installations and sensitive areas and NSG teams on standby.
