Over Rs 1,600 Crore Disbursed at J&K Treasuries in Four Days

The Jammu and Kashmir Account and Treasuries Department has disbursed over Rs 1681.80 crore at various treasuries across the state from March 14 to 18, a senior official said.

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Account and Treasuries Department has disbursed over Rs 1681.80 crore at various treasuries across the state from March 14 to 18, a senior official said.

Giving a detailed break-up of the amount, the Director General Accounts and Treasuries said Rs 487.67 crore were disbursed on account of salaries, wages and other establishment expenses and Rs 220.59 crore were disbursed on account of contractors and suppliers.

"Rs 15.17 crore were disbursed on account of land compensation, Rs 29.86 crore on food grains, Rs 268.56 crore for miscellaneous expenditures, during this week," he said.

Besides, Rs 659.95 crore have been disbursed on account of flood relief.
