BJP Goes to President Pranab Mukherje, Ex-CM's Son Out

Rawat was instructed by Congress V-P Rahul Gandhi to stay put in the State capital for fire-fighting, instead of air-dashing for a pow-wow with him.

NEW DELHI: Is Uttarakhand headed for President’s Rule? So it would seem. In a re-run of Arunachal Pradesh, the crisis facing the Harish Rawat government reached  Rashtrapati Bhavan with BJP MLAs and MPs along with nine Congress rebels from the State marching to the President’s durbar and senior Congress leader A K Antony leading a counter delegation thereafter.

Rawat was instructed by Congress V-P Rahul Gandhi to stay put in the State capital for fire-fighting, instead of air-dashing for a pow-wow with him. Meanwhile, the State government expelled ex-CM and rebel Vijay Bahuguna’s son Saket Bahuguna and party joint secretary Anil Gupta for six years for ‘anti-party’ activities.
