LUCKNOW: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, 67 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers have been transferred in Uttar Pradesh.

The move comes ahead of the assembly election scheduled next year.

The term of the incumbent Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party Government in the state ends on March 8, 2017.

The Samajwadi Party last week released its first list of 143 candidates for the 2017 polls.
