In a shocking incident, a 6-year-old girl who failed to complete her homework, was raped by her teacher on March 23rd in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh.
The teacher, Sathya Narayan Verma sent the II class girl to the school's backyard to punish her. He later followed her to the backyard and raped her there. An English daily reported that he had also threatened the girl not to reveal this to anyone.
The victim returned home at 6 pm on March 23rd where her parents were not present. She slept in her room and her mother found her bleeding later that night. When her mother inquired, the girl explained the whole incident. She was admitted to hospital the following day.
The victim's condition is stable now and her parents had lodged a complaint against the accused with Jiyavan police station.
