VISAKHAPATNAM: Body of Eight year old Konathala Uday who was kidnapped at Gavarapalem area on April 29, was found near a culvert at Koppaka area of Anakapalle police station limits on Sunday. The police reportedly took two persons into their custody and the main accused is yet to be nabbed.
K Uday, son of K Srinivasa Rao who was a local financier had gone missing since April 29. Parents of the kid lodged complaint late night, after they received phone call from kidnapper demanding ransom of Rs 1 lakh. Several attempts of police to trace criminals turned futile. On Sunday morning, locals of Koppaka alerted the police about a body,which was identified as that of Uday.
