ALWAR: A six-year-old girl who had fallen into a 100-ft deep borewell in the district could not be saved despite seven days of rescue operation.

Police said Komal's body was taken out today through a parallel borewell dug by the rescue teams.

A board of two doctors, who were present on the spot, declared her dead, they said.

The body will be handed over to the family members after post-mortem.

Komal was playing with her brother last week on Tuesday when she accidentally fell into the open borewell and stuck at depth of nearly 110 feet.

Yesterday, the police had said the digging of parallel tunnel was proving to be difficult due to rocky patches.
