Met warns of isolated heavy rains in Bihar

PATNA: The met office here has issued warning that isolated heavy rain is likely at one or two places in the north eastern and south eastern parts of Bihar in the next 24 hours.

Light to moderate rain was experienced at one or two places in the state in tha past 24 hours with south west monsoon getting weak in Bihar.

The met office bulletin said Patna received 21.4 mm rainfall this morning, while it was trace at Purnea. Major cities of Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea did not receive rainfall in the past 24 hours.

Among the major cities, Bhagalpur recorded the highest maximum temperature at 34.7 degrees celsius, followed by Gaya at 34.1 degrees, Patna at 34 degrees and Purnea at 32.8 degrees Celsius, the met office said.

The Met department in its forecast said that Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Purnea are likely to witness generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder shower tomorrow.
