KOLKATA: An American national was detained by the CISF at the NSC Bose International Airport here today after live ammunition was found in her hand baggage, Airport sources said.
During checking the Central Industrial Security Force personnel detected three live ammunition in the hand baggage of the passenger who was supposed to fly to Doha.
As the passenger failed to produce any valid document of the ammunition to the CISF personnel, she was handed over to the Airport police station, they said.
Later the passenger's lawyer produced the valid documents of the seized ammunition to the Airport police station after which she was released.
