Chhattisgarh: Presidential poll underway, CM Raman Singh cast his votes

During the first hour over 80 of the 90-member House reached the Chattisgarh Assembly where the voting began at 10 am.

RAIPUR: Chief minister Raman Singh, speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal and the leader of opposition T S Singhdeo were among the first to cast their votes in the presidential election on Monday.

During the first hour over 80 of the 90-member House reached the Chattisgarh Assembly where the voting began at 10 am.

Before the polling commenced, Congress held a meeting of their party legislators in the Assembly premises to ensure every precaution be taken while casting the votes.

In the Chhattisgarh Assembly there are 50 BJP members, 38 Congress MLAs, one seat each of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and an independent.
