Freedom fighter Kubersingh Saklecha passes away

Saklecha who took part on country's independence died at 94 after a brief illness.

BHOPAL: Veteran freedom fighter and social worker Kubersingh Saklecha passed away at a hospital here this morning after brief illness. He was 94.

Saklecha is survived by three sons and five daughters, family sources said.

Born in 1923 in Raisen district's Bareli tehsil, Saklecha took part in the country's independence movement and also went to jail, the sources said.

He also worked for the uplift of the society, they said.

His last rites will be performed in the evening.

Senior Congress leader and former minister Rajkumar Patel expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Saklecha, who was popularly known as 'Babuji'.
