BARAMULLA: Two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) were arrested on Friday by the police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The police also recovered two Chinese pistols from their possession.

The arrest comes a month after the police busted an OGW network of the JeM in Handwara and arrested three persons.

The OGW network, which was operating since April 2015, was involved in various subversive activities and determined to target political workers, security force installations and police establishments.

The operators were providing logistic support to the JeM militants and were close associates of a top commander of JeM.

The police claim the trio was working on pulling of a major incident in Handwara and said that a major threat had been averted with the busting of the module.
