CHANDIGARH: Punjab Congress President Capt Amarinder Singh would be sworn in as the next Chief Minister of Punjab on March 16.

It would be his second stint as the Chief Minister; he earlier held the office from 2002 to 2007. He was unanimously elected as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party on Sunday after which, he met the Governor and staked his claim to form the government. Amarinder ruled out any vendetta politics by his government, saying a proper investigation would be conducted to pin responsibility in drugs and other crimes, and suitable action would be taken only against those who are found guilty.
