BHOPAL: In a shocking incident, a 13-year-old tribal boy murdered his six-month pregnant mother for delaying his lunch, in Madhya Pradesh’s Alirajpur district on Tuesday.
The chilling incident happened in Desalpur village in Alirajpur's Jobat area at around 11.30 am, when the eldest child of three children to labourer parents returned home.
A six-month pregnant Shayari Bai (32) was cooking alone at home when the teenager asked her for lunch. After several requests he hit her with a sickle, inflicting a wound on her chest and killing her instantly.
The incident came to light when the boy’s grandmother and siblings returned home 15 minutes later to see the boy holding a blood stained sickle while his mother lay dead.
"The boy has been detained and will be booked for murder. We're awaiting the post mortem report. He has confessed to killing his mother over delay in getting lunch," said Jobat police station in-charge Kailash Chouhan.
