Two dead, six injured as car hits stationary truck in MP

KATNI (MADHYA PRADESH): Two persons, including a woman, were today killed and six others injured when their car rammed into a stationary truck near Chapra village in the district, a police official said.

The incident took place in the morning when their car hit the truck near a fuel pump, about 35 kms away from the district headquarters, Sleemanabad police station in-charge J P Dwivedi said.

The deceased have been identified as Usha Singh (56) and Vimal Mishra (60).

Those injured in the incident are all family members of Usha Singh and they have been admitted to a hospital in Katni, police said.

"The victims were on their way to Hyderabad from Bhadohi town in Uttar Pradesh when the accident took place," Dwivedi said.

Further investigation is on.
