POONCH: The Pakistan Army violated the ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch Sector on late Sunday night.

The Indian Army retaliated and the exchange of fire between both the armies continued for about two hours.

Pakistan had violated the ceasefire in Nowshera sector on late Friday night and continued unprovoked firing for an hour.

The ceasefire violations in the year 2016 were 228 and this year, it reached to 503 (till October 5).
