Madrasa board starts preparing to teach students from NCERT books: UP Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said that after getting approval from the state government, the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa board has started preparations to teach students from National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) books.

“The students (at Madrasa) will be taught about modern issues and they will compete with other schools in the same arena…(sic),” Dinesh Sharma said.

Earlier in January, the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh had made NCERT books mandatory for all schools affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) from academic session 2018-19.
