Punjab government observes state mourning over demise of Karunanidhi

An official spokesman said no celebratory function at government level was held today throughout the state and the national flag was flown half-mast at the headquarters.

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government today observed one-day state mourning following the death of DMK leader M Karunanidhi.

An official spokesman said no celebratory function at government level was held today throughout the state and the national flag was flown half-mast at the headquarters.

Karunanidhi died last evening at the age of 94 after a prolonged illness.
